Reach & Impact
The Can We? Project, founded by Waynflete School in 2018, began as a single weekend retreat serving 30 students at a camp in Maine. It has since grown into a program that now works directly each year with over 300 students and educators across rural, suburban, and urban communities in Maine and New Hampshire. In addition, student leaders in our partner schools are offering Can We?-inspired dialogue events for their peers, teachers, and communities.

We support an expanding number of students and educators who are developing the mindset and skills required to engage in sustained constructive dialogue. A culture of constructive dialogue in a school strengthens community, raises academic rigor, and promotes student leadership, voice, and belonging.
